Maxx has adjusted well to being in foster care; however, Maxx has let it be known that he would much rather hang with the 'big dogs'; anyone of his own general size and weight as he is not a particular fan of the smaller breeds...
For his age, and having to deal with a transition of this magnitude at this particular time in his life, Maxx has done well overall. Maxx has slowly let his guard down and has allowed himself to love and be loved by his Foster Mom. Maxx has adjusted well to crate training and will now enter his kennel, on command, whenever told to do so.
Maxx walks well on his leash and absolutely l-o-v-e-s going for walks. Maxx seems to be very treat driven and we are slowly, each and every day, trying to break him from that particular habit.
We have found that transitions for Maxx, as with most dogs of this general age range, need to occur slow and stretched out over time. Maxx is really looking for himself a life partner for the remainder of his days. If you are, in turn, looking for a pal and partner to share the remainder of your days, Maxx just may be the one for you...
