Additional information
Beagle Pup. Seven months, Neutered Male needs exceptional home!!

Super sweet boy! He is crate trained, knows to "get busy" outdoors but may have an accident if you do not watch for his signal. Has attended Doggie Daycare daily since Feburary. He has exceptional dog skills, good with cats but would really prefer they run for the fun of it. He knows sit, down, off, here/come, get busy, lets go and kennel up thanks to Doggie Daycare.

*What he lacks is every day "house skills" as he has lived with young guys who allowed him to sleep on their beds and furniture. (these issues are being worked on). Due to his breed his NOSE is exceptional at finding any crumble of food around the kitchen counters so he may attempt to counter surf standing on his back legs.

Being a pup he still needs safe chewable toys and things to do with his down time. Beagle's have one of the best developed senses of smell of any dog and he is bred to run and use his nose and his voice and he does so well. His new home must continue with his obedience skills, and find ways of allowing him to use his voice and his nose and not be scolded for doing what his breed was bred to do.

He is intelligent, but being bred for the long chase he is single-minded and determined. He is obedient but can be difficult to recall once he has picked up a scent and is easily distracted by smells around him. He responds very well to food-reward training (clicker training) and is very eager to please, but he is easily bored and/or distracted. Due to his breed and attending daily daycare he is very much a pack animal, but he can be prone to separation anxiety and may bark in his crate when he is first left alone. He would EXCEL with someone who enjoys agility and he has already been started on jumps, poles and teeter at daycare. He would make a great jogging parter as well. He is fearless and thinks nothing about being with large dogs (which could pose an issue at times for him).

He is very MUCH a LOVED and wanted puppy, however life changes have forced the need for a new home that is able to better provide for him.

He is current on all shots and was just neutered in May. His crate, toys and Merrick Dog food will accompany him to his new home.

A NEW OWNER must allow a home visit prior to adoption, you must own your home. He enjoys long ON-leash walks and being out in the fresh air, HOWEVER he is VERY much a house dog and wants to be with "his" people and he loves to cuddle. He is not a dog suited for an over-head outside runner or to be tied out to a dog house, he does not do well and will bark or find ways to get loose.

Please be someone who has the time for him.
