Born in Ireland now in Iowa
Our home and kennel on fifteen acres in rural Iowa, just west of Des Moines, is now the proud home of Quinn Lad ("The Mighty Quinn"), born in Ireland, sired by Irish Champion, Lazy Bones of Nutstown. Quinn is registered with Irish Kennel Club and American Kennel Club, is cream in color, two years old and available for stud.
Also born in Ireland (County Tipperary), sired by Guinness Dark Boy, and having traveled to the U.S. along with Quinn, but from a separate line, is Gwen Ion Dubh (“Miss Paddy”), (a little over two years old and she's a black beauty!) owned and now being registered by our cousin on their more than eight hundred acres.
A litter is being tentatively planned for this Summer. Miss Paddy will come to live with The Mighty Quinn for the duration.
For the absolute love of the breed, my cousin and I lovingly raised these gentle giants from puppies, with all the proper attention to health, training, socializing, manners, cleanliness, and loads of love. They are gentle, loving and eager to please.
If you are a family who loves the Irish Wolfhound breed and would consider adding an Irish Wolfhound to your family, please contact us. We would love to share information about this breed, including the pros and cons of owning a giant breed dog, and what a joy they are. There is a ton of information to share, including what a good breeder will do to be of help to you throughout the life of your Irish Wolfhound.
We do not have twenty years experience breeding; this is our first experience. With the help of our friends in Ireland, who will be with us all the way, by email and cell phone during the breeding process, whelping and weaning, as well as the help from the AKC and other breeders who are duty bound to help those who are new to the process, we will be excited to experience our first litter!
