Sundance was found as a stray by the local police department and is currently being fostered waiting for his furever home. Recently neutered, he will be available for adoption in July Sundance is a young energetic Lab (estimated by the vet to be approx. seven months old) who is very smart and ready to play ball, take a walk or even run if you are up to it! He is housetrained and presently gets crated when home alone and at night. He is not left unattended in the house. He is playful and wants to interact with other dogs. It is unknown how he would react to cats. It is expected that he would be too active for a home with small children. <br />Expect to spend time with him training him, working on his social skills and basic obedience training. He is very interested in playing ball - in fact, when he walks by the ball field he's fixated on where the ball is. He retrieves balls reliably but needs to work on the "give" part at this time. He takes treats very softly and will sit for a bone. He seems to know shake as a basic command. He pays attention and wants to please, so if you are willing to spend the time working with him he has the potential to be a great companion. While his experience with car rides includes a police cruiser, he was in luck as the officer made sure he was taken good care of. He does well in the vehicle and doesn't have a problem going for a ride. Hopefully no more run-ins with the law so to speak are in his future. If you looking for love, lots of activity and someone to play with, Sundance could be your guy. He's going to be project but shows great potential to shape into a great canine citizen.
