Hershel is the sort of dog that belongs playing in the yard with his tennis ball, loping along by your side on a walk. He is a delight to walk on a leash, follows well in an easy-going manner, no tugging or pulling. There is nothing fussy about him; he is just a great big loveable boy, with a debonair look. He is house-trained, and knows to "sit" on command. Hershel is a mature 8 or 9 years old He is also a good watchdog and will bark at strangers. He would probably do best in a single dog household as he has shown dominance and can be protective of his food , but you will be rewarded by boundless devotion and love. Rescued from a terrible hoarding situation, Hershel may never have known what it's like to be truly loved and cared for. What a sad thought .he is ready and waiting now.....are you the person for him?
