Bear is a 10 yr old good-natured, well behaved boy, who enjoys long walks, playtime, and lap sitting. Typical of many small breeds, however, Bear does have a tough guy streak. He has a tendency to do what he wants to do when he wants to do it, especially when it comes to eating. (Don't touch his food bowl!) With this in mind, Bear's ideal owner should be someone experienced in setting boundaries and limitations for their canine companions.

With the right instruction and consistent training, Bear would make a loving and loyal addition to any adult household. He is able to adapt quickly to any environment. This little fluffy guy gets along well with most dogs, but is sometimes selective with males his own size.

We do consider Bear to be a "special needs" pet as he has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart . This condition is treated with lifelong medication which will be supplied to his new adopter. If you're looking for a feisty, funny, and very lively friend, Bear is someone you should definitely meet.
