I am the longest-term resident dog here, and have been waiting for a home for 7 years. I want so badly to find a home to call my own. I would love to sit and watch TV with you and would make a great companion for the right family. I also love to have my belly rubbed. I am a special girl who has lots of love to give to the right family. I do have some fear issues and need lots of patience and understanding, and a secure fenced-in yard to exercise in to keep me safe! I came to Orphans as a pregnant mother and was in foster care for a while. I had a 6-year-old young girl who I loved also and played with all the time. I got along with all the cats after I learned not to chase them. My foster family wanted to keep me but I didn't get along with their older dog, I was very jealous of her I went for walks but really didn't enjoy it because there were just too many unknowns and I got scared easily. I love to walk here at shelter with volunteers but I am used to the area and not new things to encounter. To make sure we are a good match, the family who might want to adopt me would need to come and spend several times getting to know me and me them before I would want to go home with them.
