Name/Nicknames: PugsleyMy Story: Due to financial difficulties, my owner lost their home and had to surrender me to a shelter in Central Iowa called People For Pets. I sat there for a few months with little interest so the nice people at Pet Haven decided to help me out and bring me into their foster care program, where I would have more chances of adoption in the Twin Cities!Hobbies: I love to chew on raw hides, play with toys that make noise and run!Commands/Tricks: No one worked with me on this before so right now I do not know any yet, however, my foster home is actively teaching me some of the basics!Crate / Potty Trained: I am crate trained, and almost 100% potty trained. I only have about 1 accident a week, but I have learned to try to hold it until my humans let me out...now I just need to learn to tell them when I gotta go!Activity Level: High...what do you expect?!? I am made up of two very active breeds and I am still a young gal- so get ready to throw that tennis ball!!Fun things I do: I love to throw my toys so I can chase after them (aren't I self-sufficient?!?). I also love to give quick kisses to all of my friends whether they be two legged or four legged.Socialization/who I currently live with: My foster family consists of a family of four, a small older dog and a snake. I get along great with my foster family but am a little too rambunctious for the older dog. I am also a little wary of the snake but it doesn't interrupt my play for too long. I was a little wary of men when I first came to live with my foster family, but I quickly grew out of that. My Ideal Family: I need an active family that has the patience to train me and the time to let me get a lot of exercise. I have a lot of puppy energy left and my favorite thing to do is run! I would love to have another dog living with me who wants to play but I'm not too picky! :) I am a sweet puppy who wants a family who will love me and spend time with me. Pugsley is attending Pet Haven's medium/large dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
