Name/Nicknames: BuddyMy Story: I came from a shelter in rural MN. I initially went to the shelter because I was in an abusive home. I was adopted once and then returned because loud noises scared me. Pet Haven had an open foster home and thought I was the perfect candidate for one-on-one attention. I have made tremendous progress and I am ready to find my forever home now!Hobbies: I love playing with other dogs more than anything in the world! I love sprinting around the yard and playing with my foster brother for as long as he can keep up. I like to chase after balls and sticks too.Commands/Tricks: Sit, Come, and Lay Down. My foster dad is also trying to teach me that "jump" is, infact, not a trick and that I get more attention when my paws are on the ground!Crate / Potty Trained:Yes to both! I am able to be left alone in the basement with my big brother while my foster dad is at work, too.Activity Level: Medium – I love running and playing outside with my big Doberman/Lab foster brother. New sounds and places are a bit scary for me so I can be a bit shy at first; but I always enjoy meeting someone new!Fun things I do: Dodge, Dip, Duck, Dive, Dodge! I am really speedy; watch how fast I am! I also enjoy cuddling!Socialization/who I currently live with: I live with my foster dad, four other adults, and his 5 year old Doberman/Lab. While he was getting his house ready for me I spent 5 days in a home with an adult female, a mastiff mix, a basset hound, and cat. I did wonderful with everyone! My Ideal Family: I would love a family that understands that I’m cautious in new situations because I have been hurt in the past. I would love people who will be patient and continue Pet Haven's training on socializing me in this big, wide world! I am not mean to kids, but I think I would prefer a house with older ones because they are less jumpy...and when I get jumpy, I will not knock them over! I also think it would be REALLY fun to go to a home with a dog I can play with! I don’t ask for much… just a little love and affection.
Buddy is attending Pet Haven's small dog adoption events and his adoption fee is $300 (cash or check only) and includes spay/neuter, heartworm check, current vaccinations, and microchip and registration.Due to post-adoption services provided, it is Pet Haven's policy to only place dogs into homes within a 60-mile radius of the Twin Cities area.
