Millie is an exceptionally wonderful 3-4 year-old "Bagel"! She was found by a Good Samaritan who couldn't keep her, and the shelter said she'd likely be euthanized in a few days, so she was brought to us at Petsmart. Poor Millie has had a rough time of it. She tested "+" for heartworms and has been treated, so she will not be available for adoption for two more weeks. She is perfectly housetrained and crate-trained. She's incredibly loving and cuddly, and wants nothing more than a warm dry bed to sleep on at night (preferably close to you), a full dinner bowl, and a belly rub each and every day. She was a bit chunky when she was rescued, but she has since slimmed down as her appetite decreased from the treatment of the heartworms. She is feeling more her spunky self now and is antsy to get off the miserable crate rest. She loves a casual stroll about the yard and loves to hunt (without any noise too!) She's calm enough that we won't require a fenced yard, but she should NEVER be let off lead, because like any true beagle, she follows her nose! She's just about the most perfect beagle I've ever fostered! Millie loves children and is friendly with all the other fosters here at home. Today, she even picked up a toy and tried to toss it in the air, but it hit the roof of her crate and bonked her on the head. :o( So if you're looking for that special dog to enrich your life, apply now for Millie because she's sure to be adopted quickly with all of her positive attributes!
