She is currently in a foster home where she is learning socialization and communication techniques. Bella is deaf. She came to the shelter in January and she was the only pup in the litter that was deaf. All of her brothers and sisters have been adopted and Bella was very isolated and lonely. She would not have thrived in that environment, but now Bella is in a home where she is learning Sign Language. She currently looks at her foster mom's face when her foster mom waves her hand. She knows how to sit and wait for food, she knows down, off, stay, and come. She will also wait at the door before going outside for a walk. But Bella is still in the learning stages and she is not ready to be adopted at this time. Her foster mom reports that Bella loves to play with the dogs at the dog park and she loves to ride in the car.
