BUSTER
Buster is a 10 years old, male Beagle who was transferred to our rescue from Harvest Hills Animal Shelter. Buster has has had a rough shake at life. Poor Buster has lived outside in a pen in Maine his entire life. He was adopted from the shelter but returned for chewing things (typical Beagle) and for having some accidents in the house. Buster has never lived in a house - it is not his fault that he is unfamiliar with the rules of indoor living. Despite his rough beginnings - Buster is an outgoing and affectionate boy who is good with other dogs and with children. He is so loving that it is impossible to take a good picture of him - because he wants to be in your lap at all times! Buster has not had any accidents in his kennel and he seems to chew appropriately when given chew toys - such as a Kong, Nylabone, etc. He is VERY food motivated - so most likely is a pup that needs the garbage put away:) The good news is that food-driven dogs are very easy to train! Buster needs a home that understands his past and that will treat him like a puppy in regards to training. This means crate training and/or regularly scheduled feeding times and out times with positive reinforcement/praise for a job well done:) Please give Buster a chance at the life he deserves.
