One look at Tigress and you'll know how she got her name -- she has a beautiful brindle coat with distinctive "tiger" markings. So Tigress is one cool cat -- but she's also a great dog! She's about 2 years old and 40 pounds, with big, pretty brown eyes. She's affectionate and loves to be petted. We're pretty sure she was a mama dog, and when she sees puppies here at the shelter she wants to go to them and make sure they're OK. Now it's time for Tigress to have a family that will care for her, too! She'll give you big smiles to show her gratitude -- the special kind of love that comes from a rescue dog who knows that you've saved her life. And you'll love the feeling it gives you. Unfortunately there's not enough room at the shelter to keep dogs indefinitely, so please check out her video and then come see Tigress very soon! Tigress is available at Nassau County Animal Services, located at 86078 License Drive, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. Dog adoptions are $88.00 and an additional $10.00 for Nassau county residents for their county tag. All dogs come spayed or neutered, rabies and other shots up to date, and micro chipped. You can also reach the Animal Shelter at 904-491-7440. Please have the dogs id number when calling for faster and more efficient service.
