History: Peeta comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington State. Notes from Peeta's Foster Home: Peeta is a truly wonderful little 3 legged dog who has no clue he's missing a leg and he'll convinced you so! This boy can run faster than most dogs and seeing how fast he has recovered from this is truly amazing to me. He couldn't care less about his missing leg and so I can guarantee that you will too. As a matter of fact, you will probably forget you have a 3 legged dog. Peeta does wonderfully with other dogs but seems to prefer the smaller ones. He's quite playful and never seems to get tired. He's also a real cuddler and will bury himself into a blanket until you can only see the tip of his nose! Peeta has a wonderful personality and has had no problem adjusting to his foster home. He seems fully house trained and crate trained but can bark if he sees big dogs on the other side of the fence, unless someone is there to correct him right away, which he seems to understand pretty quickly. I can guarantee that with a dog like Peeta you will get lots of 'Awww' and 'Wow' wherever you take him. He's truly unique and will remind you every single day how amazing dogs can be. He'll make a wonderful companion!
Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.
