This dog is in the Prison Trained K-9 Companion Program. This program rescues dogs, does their vet work (spay/neuter, vaccines, heartworm preventative), and then places the dog with an inmate 24/7 for socialization and training. The dogs are in training for 1 to 2 months. They are then available for adoption. We do charge adoption fees to support the program, as we are not tax supported.
