Barber is a sweet little guy with lots of personality. He will be your best friend, following you at your feet everywhere you go. He loves to go for walks, snuggle and generally be around people as he loves attention and affection. He does best as the main man around the house, but he could go to a home with a very calm dog that is a big couch potato. Barber isn’t a fan of active dogs or lots of little fingers getting in his space so much. He’d do well with older kids and if he had his choice, he’d much rather be with you than left alone. Barber has some separation anxiety, so if someone is home during the day, he would love to join your family! He is potty trained, walks well on a leash and knows all kinds of tricks. He can sit, shake and even high five! Barber is very smart and can adapt to your family if given lots of love and comfort.Barber is currently being fostered at Camp Run-A-Mutt, a cage free doggy daycare and boarding facility in Point Loma. It is here that he receives lots of great socialization with people and other dogs. His adoption fee is $250,he is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Please go to our website, www.secondchancedogrescue.org to complete an application to meet Barber.

All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals aremost qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog. Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.Thank you for visiting our dogs located at www.SecondChanceDogRescue.org
