Mali - 3 Legged dog This dear, beautiful Bouvier des Flandres is 12 months old. Mali suffered a knee injury and was treated by surgery at DMV under Gerdys Rescues.Unfortunately, she suffered additional ligament damage and her leg had to be amputated. Mali is sterilized, vaccinated for Bordatella, Vanguard 5, and Rabies, and is dewormed.Mali is an active girl who is now learning to balance on her 3 remaining legs. Preferably someone home during the day as she is still a pup would be an asset!Jolly nature, very friendly, she will be a big girl when full grown.Give it time, her fur will grow in over the amputated area and it will hardly be noticeable. Best in a home by herself no other pets, as she is still a pup and cant go to a dog run or jog with her personjust walks but not too far at a time.Mali is a GREAT girl socially, loves the car. We recommend a dog seat belt to hold her securely in place while she is in the car.No small kids to accidentally stress her remaining leg by climbing on her! She is a good dog, but reasonable precautions need to be given consideration with a 3 legged animal. She can have a good life, just not to overdo, so backyard rough play is out of the question. A nice walk is good for her but not for too long at a time. A simple life is all she asks for, and she will be a devoted girl.
