Our adorable winking Doberman-wannabe is a 40-lb. Doberman mix. She has a docked tail, and we aren't sure what she's mixed with. We don't know what happened to her eye because she came in like that, but it is completely healed, and she has adapted very well to sight out of one eye. Since coming into her foster home wink has gained lots of confidence. She is still shy with new people but doing so much better. She is about a year old and still so puppy like in many ways. She is playful and still klutzy. She is full of kisses and need for attention, though she was slow to warm to her new surroundings. She is truly a dog's dog and has become instant pals with her foster brother at her foster home. She is learning her commands now too and has mastered sit, but the potential is there as she is so food motivated. Wink would be best in a home with another dog as she learns and builds confidence in that type of relationship. She loves to play with other dogs. She has learned sit and come and has to learn more on a leash and with her stay command. She has a lot of puppy in her, is very eager to please and is housebroken but will need a patient owner. She is still a little shy with new people, but this too will just take some time. Email Pam at orphandobe@ameritech.net
