Scoutcame to us mid-January from a hoarding situation. He is the last of the dogs we got from this situation, and he is just gorgeous! He is a husky mix about 2 years old, weighs about 55 lbs., and has one crystal blue eye and a brown eye. When we got him, he was very shy, scared and was at risk to run away. We found out that heis loving, playful and full of energy when he gets to know you and his surroundings. He willstill shy away from strangers, but does not show aggression towards people or other dogs. His overall condition is very good. He would make a great best friend for someone. Scout is now neutered and tested NEGATIVE for HW! After being in a small kennel where staff had a chance to work on helping him build up trust, he’s back in the huge back pen area where he can run around yet he chooses to come up for attention. He’s really a great dog! He gets along GREAT with male and female dogs, and is SUCH a love bug!!! Oh, and by the way, all the pets at the shelter really need YOUR help! Volunteers for dog walkers, shelter workers, transport to and from vet appointments, and foster homes are DESPERATELY needed. Overpopulation in our area is a huge problem. Contact the shelter by email or phone if you can be part of the solution!
