4/25/12 Tracey was rescued from the Crownpoint, NM gas station. He is 3-4 year old male border collie mix. He is neutered and vaccinated and so far he is dog friendly. He is slowly learning to trust; learning what a leash is and learning that to enter a house can be a really fun thing! Tracey is learning to relax and to welcome attention and affection. UPDATE: Each day Tracey is learning how to be more social. He very affectionate with his foster mom, but he still has some hesitation when meeting strangers. He is a super smart dog who learns fast and is also a very fast runner. He goes on runs every day and loves them. He would be a great running/hiking partner. I will gladly continue to work with him and bring him into new places; at this time he will need to go to someone who is patient and willing to show him that all people want to do is LOVE NOT HURT. He has some large scar tissue on his inner right leg that was likely due to a dog bite when when he was living on the streets. Hair is probalby not going to grow back but he has a beautiful black and white coat. He is very submissive and gets along with dogs of all genders and ages.
