Safehaven Small Breed Rescue Nina is a 2 year old Chihuahua who had been kept outside even in the winter. When she came to us, she had pneumonia and was very sick, but now is healthy and looking for that special someone who will understand her. Nina is 5 lbs, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and all vaccinations are up to date. Nina does have some issues: She attaches herself to one person and does not like strangers- nipping at their pantlegs; she is not to be trusted around children of any age; and she takes a while to learn to trust someone. But when she does, she is always by their side, loving to cuddle, or just be near that person. She does sleep in bed, under the covers of course, and is housebroken but will use wee wee pads. Nina must have a fenced yard, because if she gets scared, she will bolt. Nina's adoption fee is $150.
