Volunteer Your Love, and Save Lives!
Would you consider being a fosterhome for an American Eskimodog?Heart Bandits of Greater Los Angeles rescues many dogs a year from shelters, homeless owners, the streets, and other desperately sad situations. Each dog needs time in a foster home before they can be adopted to a loving family and a foreverhome. As a foster, depending on a dog's needs you might just provide love, food and shelter, or in special cases, be the one to watch over a sick dog's recovery or give basic training to a puppy. It all depends on what kind of dog you would like to help. You can also decide what time-frame to devote to a needy dog: Temp-fostering involves periods of 1-4 weeks when a dog is going to be transferred elsewhere after a short period in your home.Typical fostering is a longercommitment to care for a dog throughout the process of locating a foreverhome; sometimes this only takes aweek or two but in other cases can take months. While you foster we will engage with you regarding the process of matching the dog to a new owner; the search will be done via internet networking, public adoption events, email campaigns, individual meet-and-greets, and more. You can save a life and change a life!(Pictured here is Angel, who was rescued and adopted via our fosterhome program. If you are interested in adopting a dog like her from Heart Bandits, we have many to choose from. On this pageconsult ourlink labeled "See More Pets" or "Find a Shelter/zipcode 90239" or "Other Pets at Shelter".)If you have questions or would like to learn more, please email our Chapter Director LoriPasch@yahoo.com . She will send you a list of current dogs that need fostering (so that you can look for an appropriate match for your home) and provide a FosterHome Application.*Pictured: These photos are of dogs we previously rescued and found homes for.
