Sampson is a big lovable guy weighing about 100 lbs. He is somewhere between -10 years of age. Once you earn his trust, he is devoted and loyal. He can be a bit protective of those he claims as his so he is not the best choice for a home with small kids in and out. However, he is fine with everyone with proper introductions and he does well at the adoption events with strangers. He prefers females over males (humans). He gets along well with other dogs. Sampson lost his home due to the economy and as a result is very depressed. He would love to find a home fast with someone who can love him for the years he has left. While he does like to play and hug (talk about a bear hug!!) he is a relatively calm and mellow guy. It doesn't take much to keep him happy --- a little bit of love and a nice soft bed.
