Barney is a puppy mill survivor. He was used as a breeding dog and is fearful of humans. He runs from people and cringes when touched/petted. He is not housebroken and does not walk on a leash. He will finally take a little liverwurst from my hand as long as the other dogs form a shield between him and I. Barney will require patience and leadership from his adoptive family in order to build confidence. Progress will be slow. He would benefit from professional assistance & training. He requires a home with a fenced yard, no children, and at least one other dog. If you are interested in working with Barney and can handle his special needs please send in an application for adoption. Interested in adopting this pet? Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our medical expenses which includes spay/neuter, deworming, all vaccines, heartworm test, microchipping, grooming if needed, and in many cases a dental, and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a Shelter.
