LUCYLittle Lucy suffered a broken pelvis after (we assume) she was hit by a car. Taken to the West Valley animal shelter, Lucy spent weeks there hoping for someone to recognize her not as an injured dog but as one who could be fixed and live a very normal happy life. We heard about little Lucy and the danger she was in at the shelter and couldn't ignore her sweet, loving personality and hopeful eyes. Having rescued many dogs with similar injuries, we knew that all this sweet little girl needed was someone willing to 'fix' her, we were that someone. Lucy is approximately 2 years young, very sweet and full of energy. As most dogs after surgery to repair broken limbs, Lucy has forgottena about the tragic accident and is ready for a new life with a loving family/individual. Lucy gets along well with other friendly dogs, kids, cats are unknown. Lucy is spayed, current on vaccinations and mircochiped. To give adopters a head start on housebreaking, curb seperation anxiety and/or destructive behavior. We believe a well trained dog is a happy dog. Therefore, an intro training session with our behaviorist will be required to ensure Lucy remains a well balanced and happy. Please be aware, we do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis but rather to the home that is best suited for that particular dog and breed. An application, home check, adoption contract and fee are required for all adoptions and dogs are seen by appointment only. For adoption consideration visit us at www.muttmatchla.org to submit an application. Please allow at least 48 hours for a response.
