Our lovely Lucy is a 4 year old, black female Scottie, on the larger side of the Scottie size scale. She is friendly and enthusiastically rolls over for belly rubs! She is very affectionate and sweet with her people - just not with other dogs or cats. She came into rescue because her owner didn't have time for her or the attention that her allergies need. Lucy is otherwise healthy, but her allergies require shots, done at home. We had her tested and found that she is allergic to dust mites, mold, and a few grasses - things that are hard to avoid. Her foster mom is giving her injections once every 10 days and eventually as she builds up he tolerance, they will hopefully taper off or maybe stop altogether. The shots are small needles and are easy to give, we can show you how, so don't shy away from such a great dog due to that. Lucy is very well behaved and an easy dog to live with! She just craves a family of her own again. She's being fostered in lower NY state, and interested applicants should be within reasonable driving distance. Lucy is spayed and was just groomed. If you are someone who is willing and able to administer vaccinations and to make Lucy your special girl, please contact Erica Cerny at firstname.lastname@example.org or 973-361-6790. She really is a smart girl and very affectionate - would be such a good companion for someone who really craves that close connection with their dog. Her expressive eyes just keep looking at you for your next move and she just loves to be right with you. Very endearing. We are so sad that nobody has stepped up for her, she really is a special and loving girl. Lucy needs to be an only dog.
