You guessed it! Chappy is no beagle! Chappy is a beautiful black and tan coonhound! The shelter worked so hard to find a rescue to take this nice boy that we just couldn't say no. For one so young, he is calm and gentle - very good with the rest of the dogs in his foster home, and has even cut the cats a break. Chappy LOVES being a house dog. He has a bit of a boarding house reach, but hey, he lives with a bunch of short beagles. This makes him somewhat of a hero amongst the gang. "Finally! Someone who can reach the Milkbones! Let's hear it for Chappy!" That said, he stops in mid-reach when told "Off!" (Although it's not the beagles who say it.) Chappy is a little bit shy in new situations, but he quickly adjusts when he realizes that he is safe.Adoptive Status: Neutered, UTD on shots, heartworm negative and micro-chipped.
