Sweet young male, new to our rescue. Still getting his medical workup and unfortunately he is heartworm positive. He seems to be a quiet but active dog and so far ok around other dogs. He is neutered and will be updating soon. He is a sweet gentle boy who loves other dogs and people. Is quite prey driven so will chase after cats or other small animals. He is very strong and needs more work in obedience and leash. He is doing well with a gentle leader and loves his walks. Ted is around 2 years of age. 8-14-11 Ted is recuperating well from his heartworm treatment and feeling great. His coat is beautiful and is actually the color "blue" which is a dark gray and his undercoat is silver. He would do best in active family familiar with the akita breed. He is an extremely striking dog and has the most loving personality. Still very prey driven and will chase small animals. 6 foot privacy fence is a requirment. 2-13-12 Ted is doing well and really in need of a committed family to call his own.
