Meara is about 14 years old, and a spayed female mixed breed of possibly Hound and Dalmatian, or maybe English Setter. She is up to date on all her shots. She came originally from a shelter when she was 4 months old. Meara weighs approximately 45 pounds. Meara is a sweet tempered loving dog who loves to be pet and have her belly rubbed. She is great with children, other dogs and cats. She has slowed down due to her age and some arthritis and prefers not to walk very far but loves to be out in the yard. She also has a hard time going up and down too many stairs. Meara has separation anxiety and needs to be in a home where a person or another dog will always be present. She can sometimes be destructive when left alone and will bark. We have had success leaving her alone with another dog. We have tried medication and crating but really what she needs is companionship. She is currently being fostered in Greenfield NY and we would welcome anyone to come meet her.
