Additional information
Kenna is a sweet girl. She is one of the dogs from Oklahoma, so she has a lot of rehabilitating to do. She seems to be depressed, but is really coming around. She has made some serious progress since she first came to our home. The first few days she was here, we couldnt even take the leash of off her when we let her outside or when she was inside. You had to lead her around anywhere you wanted her to go. She is now moving around the house without the leash, and with coaxing she will go where you want her to. She loves her kennel, because she feels safe there. We dont allow her to be in there unless we are leaving the house. She has only messed in the house once, and that was the first week we had her. Kenna would be a good dog for a quiet person, or family. We have only had her in the winter time, and with the winter we have had, we have not been able to take her outside for any walks. She does not chase balls or play with toys. Her favorite thing to do is lay near our back door or under the table. She does not mind other dogs, she snapped at our 1 yr old Border Collie the first day that we brought her home, but has not snapped at anyone or any other dog since. She was probally overwhelmed by her new surroundings. Update: 3-10-2010 Kenna will now get up when she knows you are handing out treats. She will come all the way across the room to get one. She loves treats, and hot dogs! We are VERY excited about this good weather, so we can get her outside. When my husband took her to the park, she just walked around him nervously, because she didnt know what to do. She loves to go outside by herself, but is a little nervous on the leash. She is making some real progress. More progress to come with the better weather! A completed adoption application must be submitted to NBCR before you can be considered to adopt this dog. There is also a $180 adoption fee
The application can be downloaded from our website www.nebraskabordercollierescue.com or email karenbattreall @cox.net and ask for an application
