Squirt was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia just one day before he was to be euthanized. He is an extremely sweet loving little boy, weighing in at only 30lbs. After having him just a few weeks he started coming down with something and we ran multiple tests and he has been diagnosed with American Canine Hepatozoonosis. It is a chronic disease and one that is relatively rare except in the Gulf Coast states. It is unknown how the disease will affect him as each dog is different but he is being treated and is acting like a happy healthy doggie. He will need a very special home that is willing to pay special attention to his medical needs and issues. Even with this disease he deserves to have his own wonderful family.
