Takara was a Shiba Inu found roaming as a stray. The shelter called us after they put her on the euthanasia list saying she looked like something Animal Helper would save. Of course we said yes! When we rescued her from the shelter on May 19, 2010, she had a skin infection and had been dipped in motor oil. (the third photo is from May 2010 & she's perfect now) She has slight luxating patellas but doesn't need surgery for them. She had full bloodwork and it was perfect. We did a urinalysis & discovered she has struvites in her urine. This is very common. We must have caught it early as she's never had a urinary infection with us. As long as she's on prescription urinary food, she has no problems. She's spayed, microchipped, & heartworm negative. She's up to date on shots, heartworm prevention, & flea prevention. She had a negative fecal. She's been examined numerous times by a regular vet & an orthopedic surgeon. She's a typical Shiba. She's such a loving dog. She loves to kiss you. She doesn't care for other animals. She wants to get all the attention. She's fine walking in the neighborhood around other animals. She doesn't even acknowledge them. Adoption fee is $150
