Additional information
Meet Erin!
Erin is a 7 year old black brindle female Cairn Terrier who came to CRUSA from a situation of severe neglect, with elephant skin and missing most of her hair. She (along with her sister Daisy who has since been adopted) was removed by animal control from a backyard breeder after she had lost most of her hair from months of being flea-infested. Erin’s hair grew back after roughly six months of medicated baths and creams except in 4 small spots where the hair follicles were too damaged. These 4 small spots remained bald, but that just adds to her cuteness.I am House Trained and Love Playing Fetch!
Erin is 100% house trained. She is also very playful and high energy and loves playing fetch. I am very Affectionate With Women Once I get to Know You. Men However Scare Me
Erin is very affectionate with women and wants to give you kisses and be petted, and enjoys watching TV with you. In her foster home, Erin wakes up super happy each morning, prancing around and coming to say hello. She is also a velcro dog and loves to follow you around all day and be where you are. With men, however, Erin is fearful and must be introduced slowly or she will take matters on her own and give them a quick bite in the ankle and run away to hide somewhere. For this reason, Erin will NOT be considered for active households or for homes with children. Her ideal home is a female-only household, where someone is home most of the time, that gets few visitors and where her new owners will take the time to introduce her slowly to visitors. Once the introduction is done, she relaxes with the newcomers.Where Is Erin Now?
Erin is located in a private foster home in Princeton Junction, NJ. Due to her issues (see above), she can only be adopted to a home within a 90 mile radius of Princeton Junction. We also require that the home adopting her meet her at her foster home on at least 2 occasions and spend time with her during these meetings before taking her home so she will be familiar with her new owner.I Am Up-To-Date
Erin is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm disease, is micro-chipped and is on a monthly heartworm preventative.See More Photos of Me!
