Estimated DOB: 12/08. Paul was rescued with his sibling Mary. Their father is a full-blooded Bassett Hound and their mother is a Redbone Coonhound and Boxer mix. Paul is the more shy of the two, but he has grown more outgoing in his months at the shelter. Paul must be adopted as a pair with his sister Mary as they have never been separated. They are shy toward strangers but with time and patience they will settle down. Roman is our full time dog caretaker and is very good with these two. We recently placed them both in a home but unfortunately the fence turned out to be unsecured and both Mary and Paul took off (as a hound dog will if given the opportunity). Several staff members and volunteers spent 8 hours tracking these two and recapturing them. What an ordeal. We decided it was best to bring these two back here and wait for a better home to place them into. One requirement is a very secure fence! Paul is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative.
