I was found hog tied with barbed wire and left for dead !

My name is Jerechco, I am very sweet and loveable. I have been in rescue for a very long time. I am the Ambassador here. I help all of the new dogs that come into the program. They come in scared and I show them the ropes. I myself was a very abused doggie. I was found by the President of the rescue hog tied with barbed wire and left in a yard for dead. I had to have the barbed wire surgically removed from my legs. I have been with the rescue ever since. i actually love it here. I would love to be able to find a home but the problem is I get soooo scared when I meet new people because I am not sure if someone is going to hurt me again. It takes me about a day or two to get my confidence and realize that not everyone in this world is here to hurt me, but unfortunately no one ever wants to be patient enough and wait out the couple of days to let me get comfortable and wait for my personality to come out. Everyone wants that happy bouncy new dog that they can love on and play with right away, I can be that dog it just takes me a little bit longer and someone just has to be very patient and understanding.Until that right person comes along, I am happy as a clam living here. I am house broken and crate trained up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on all necessary preventatives, and neutered. i know one day the right person will come along for me but until then I help all the newbies get settled in and teach them all the ropes, My Job, perhaps why I was rescued, it was what I was meant to do !February 1, 2011, 1:17 pm
